Popular Nigerian Musician, Mr. Demola Olota who is driven by optimism for a better Nigeria has successfully staged his Musical Concert with the theme God Bless Nigeria just as team Nigeria’s search for medals at the France 2024 Olympics continues.
The concert tagged Live In Demolta Concert: God Bless Nigeria which took place at the Jewel Aeida, 105, Hakeem Dickson Link Road At Lekki Phase 1 on Sunday 28 July 2024 afforded Demola and his band an opportunity to express their believe in the Nigeria project through various classes of music such as classical, pop, folk amongst others despite not being present at the France Olympics.
Nigeria’s national anthem (Nigeria We Hail Thee) specially arranged by Seun Owoaje was performed during the concert and was conducted by Demola Olota himself as a sign of commitment to Nigeria’s project while Nigerians look forward to hearing our National Anthem at the ongoing Olympics.
It’s 28 years since Nigeria won her first ever individual gold medal at the Olympics during the Atlanta 1996 Olympics, and Demolta who would have loved to perform at the Paris 2024 Olympics and inspire the team and fans had to play his role from Nigeria while team Nigeria continues the search.
Other songs performed during the event are Adura fun Alafia composed by Ayo Bankole, IBA originally composed by Ebenezer Obey and arranged by Seun Owoaje, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring composed by Johann Sebastian Bach, My Way by Frank Sinatra, Ope Lo ye o by James Yankey, I Like Am arranged by Demola Olota, Ekop do and Alleluia Chimle.
The highlight of the event was the performance by the Quavers Band led by music Maestro Demola Olota himself and praise chanting by Diva Bukola Abdulganiyu a.k.a Asayemi. While the special rendition of prayer for Nigeria composed by Demola Olota was taken by Mr. Muri and accompanied by De Clique Vocals.
The event was anchored by Benneth Ogbeiwi popularly known as Uncle Ben of the MTN Project Fame, with several musicians across the country such as Juliet Ekanem, (Soprano) Queen Mary Okoro(soprano), Vivian Obielusi(soprano), Chizitaram(soprano), Kaduru Juliet Chioma(alto), Avenbuan Maryanne(alto), Tochi(alto), Annemarie Obah(alto).
The male voices who were part of the choir are Ndubuisi Azubuike (Tenor), Innocent Ikpe (Tenor), Danlami Baba (Bass) Christopher Effiong (Baritone) and Nwankwo Peter (Baritone).
