As excitement builds ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, StarTimes Nigeria has unveiled a “Watch & Win” promotion with prizes worth N10 million up for grabs, rewarding subscribers who follow the global football spectacle from the comfort of their homes.

The pay television provider announced the promotion at a media briefing held on Tuesday at the Radisson Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, stating that the campaign commenced on June 18 and will run until July 31, 2026.

Speaking at the event, the Marketing Director of StarTimes Nigeria, Oke Umurhohwo, said subscribers across all bouquet categories would have access to live coverage of all 104 matches of the FIFA World Cup, which is being hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

According to him, StarTimes has dedicated two channels exclusively to the tournament to ensure uninterrupted coverage for football fans across the country.

“With a subscription of just N4,000, our customers can watch all 104 World Cup matches live,” Umurhohwo said.

“Beyond the live broadcasts, we have launched the ‘Watch & Win’ promo to reward our loyal subscribers. To participate, customers only need to subscribe to any StarTimes bouquet with a minimum recharge of N4,000 or purchase a StarTimes decoder/disc or StarTimes Solar package.

“Every participant stands a chance of winning the grand prize of N10 million, alongside several consolation prizes. Winners will be selected through an automated and transparent process.”

Umurhohwo also disclosed that new subscribers would enjoy discounts of up to 44 per cent on selected StarTimes products throughout the World Cup period.

He further revealed plans to host World Cup watch parties in selected cities across Nigeria to enhance the viewing experience and create memorable moments for football enthusiasts.

“We want to assure our subscribers of an exciting World Cup season. The watch parties will provide an opportunity for fans to come together and enjoy the matches in a vibrant atmosphere,” he said.

Also speaking, the Sales Director (Lagos), Onyebuchi Uchefuna, highlighted StarTimes’ growth and nationwide reach since commencing operations in Nigeria in 2009.

According to him, the company now effectively serves customers across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, while remaining committed to delivering quality and affordable entertainment.

“Since our inception, customer satisfaction has remained our priority. Despite Nigeria’s absence from this year’s World Cup, we made every effort to secure the broadcast rights because we understand how important the tournament is to Nigerians,” Uchefuna said.

“We will continue to provide quality service and the best value for our customers’ money.”

On his part, the Advert Sales Director, Seun Oyedokun, said StarTimes would complement its live match broadcasts with dedicated studio programmes featuring pre-match and post-match analysis throughout the tournament.

He added that subscribers would also be able to watch the World Cup on their mobile devices through the StarTimes app, ensuring convenient access to the competition wherever they are.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is expected to be the largest in the tournament’s history, featuring 48 teams and 104 matches, with millions of fans around the world set to follow the action.
