World Cup Final: Tinubu’s Aide, Adeboye, Predicts Exciting, Tough Final Game

SSA

Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Grassroots Sports Development, Prince Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye, has predicted a tough and exciting World Cup final match between defending champions Argentina and Spain, winners of the 2010 World Cup played in South Africa.

Speaking exclusively to Sports Chronicle Magazine, Adeboye remarked that the 2026 World Cup has indeed lived beyond the expectations of football fans and pundits in several ways.

He harped on the quality and technical standards of matches played across the three host nations, leading to the grand finale to be held on Sunday, in the New Jersey Stadium, New York, USA.

“I’m a great football lover and surely know and understands good football, when I see one.

“So far, we’ve witnessed and enjoyed beautiful matches during this world cup. Even some debutants showed that they are not minnows with shocking results.

“And like millions of football fans across the world, I’m looking forward to a very exciting, intense and tough final match between Argentina and Spain, in every regards.

“Argentina has proved to be a complete team, with every department of the team working together. And that’s taken them this far. You’ll also notice that it isn’t a one-man team. Though Lionel Messi has continued to lead by example, other players like Lautaro Martinez, Enzo Fernandez and Liando Martinez have equally proved to be able assistants.”

Adeboye, who is the founder and president of Lagos based NNL side Smart City FC, also enthused greatly about the chances and quality of play by Spain.

“Spain is also a great side with lots of wonderful individuals. More than the talents of Lamine Yamal, Rodri, Cucurrela, Ozaryabal and others, the Spaniards play beautiful football. They compact and tactically disciplined.

“I can’t predict a winner but earnestly look forward to enjoying a beautiful and exciting world cup final,” he added conclusively.
