Samjason Football Academy recorded 4-3 away victory against Usefulyouth Sports Academy in week one of the ongoing U-16 Alimosho Football Coaches Council League Championship.
The encounter produced seven goals thrillers in an entertaining match watched by appreciable crowd at the DOG Barrack Center, Ipaja Command, Alimosho, Lagos.
The victory was a good start for Samjason boys who were very impressive in the game against Usefulyouth Sports Academy. The Usefulyouth boys need to go for victory in their next game.
In other centre, Ola Stars suffered 2-3 home defeat against Clear Path FA as Vision Stars also recorded away 3-1 victory over Stars XI FA.
Realms Athletic who played at home defeated Sammy FA 3-2, while Wonder Light played 1-1 with Golden Wealth boys.
Action resumes in week two which begins on Friday. Sammy FA host Ola Stars boys at Ijegun by noon,Samjason would welcome Realms Athletic at Egan by 2pm, Usefulyouth boys would play their away match against Vison Stars by 2pm.
One match would hold on Saturday as Stars XI FA would be at away against Golden Wealth FA by noon , while Clear Path boys welcome Wonder Light on Sunday by 4pm.
Match coordinator, Eden Oku said the championship had lived up to expectations and commended the participating teams for spirit of sportsmanship exhibited in various centres and urged the coaches and players to continue showing high level of discipline and sportsmanship throughout the championship.
