The race for the Super two in the ongoing U-14 Alimosho Football Coaches Council Championship might be decided on Saturday as White Soccer FA host Sammy FA in group B by 4pm at Abaranje Primary School, Alimosho, Lagos.
Both of them are in the same group and only the winner in the group would face a winner group A to play super two and decide the overall winner of the championship.
On the group table released by the organisers, White Soccer have 16 points having played six matches, while Sammy garnered 14 points having played six matches.
White Soccer need a win or draw against Sammy to top their group,while Sammy need outright win to keep hope alive.
When both met in the first leg it ended 3-3 and a win for the homers would confirm them a group winner.After tomorrow games, teams still have a match to play to end the league.
In group A,both M.A Galaxy and Samjason boys are still fighting for the group winner.M.A Galaxy are still leading with 19 points having played eight matches, while Samjason have 16 points having played eight matches.
M.A Galaxy would host Wonder Light on Saturday by 2pm at Triumph Academy School,Egbe.A win for home team would give them a chance of reaching the super two.
In other hand, Samjason would also play at away against Stars XI on Saturday by noon at Baruwa side.Samjason need outright win to keep pressure on M.A Galaxy and anything short of victory, it would be a big blow to Samjason from reaching the super two.
In other matches on Saturday, IGFC boys would welcome Realm Athletic by 11:30am at Sansan field, Adebayo Samba would be a guest to Heart Of Lion by 1pm at Igando Primary School.
League chairman, Samuel Haruna told our correspondent that they have deployed competent match officials and coordinators to various centers to monitor the matches.
He however assured all the teams fair officiating and reminded the club owners and coaches to channel their complaint or grievances to appropriate committee instead of taking laws into their hands.
He also thanked the Alimosho Football Coaches Council under the leadership of Uchenna Samuel Eke for giving him the opportunity to serve as a league chairman saying that it is a new challenge for him as a coach.
“It has been a wonderful experience for me and challenging because as a league chairman, I attended to many issues and resolved it amicably.Once again I thank my council for its confidence having in me to serve as a league chairman,”he said.
