Igando Football Club, IGFC have qualified for the semi final after defeating favourite team, Super Accurate Football Academy in the quarter final of the ongoing U-13 Holiday Gold Cup taking place at the Ijegun football pitch, Alimosho, Lagos.
In the quarter final played on Monday, IGFC boys defeated Super Accurate FC 4-2 on penalty shootout after 2-2 at the regulation time.
With this victory, IGFC have qualified for the semi final and they would play Junior Agas in the semi final.
Coach of IGFC, Ugochukwu Onyelusi expressed his delight with the team’s victory noted that his boys were determined to win their remaining matches.
Onyelusi explained that their game against Super Accurate was tough but thanked God that his players were able to overcome their opponents. He also commended his players for their doggednes throughout the tournament and urged them to remain focused in their next game.
In other quarter finals, Dynamic Force FA have sent Sammy FA parking after defeating them 4-5 on penalties following their barren draw at the regulation time.
In another results, Radiant FC also defeated Heritage FC 2-0 as Soteria Boys suffered 1-4 to Junior Agas FA.
