Four centres across Lagos State would host second edition of Odunmbaku Female Gold Cup which kicks off today (Tuesday).
The four centres are,White Sand Playground, Orile-Iganmu, proposed palace playing Ground Igando, Iganmode Mini Stadium, Sango Ota and Government College, Agege.
The tournament is being named after a Lagos based APC Chieftain, Cardinal James Odunmbaku.
In the fixtures released by the organisers, SGH Sports Amazons face Jackson Queens today by 2pm at the Agege centre.
Two matches would hold today at the Orile-Iganmu centre as FC Phoenix Queens tackle Wazbak Queens by 11am, while Great Stars Amazons battle United Squad Angels by 1pm.
Action continues on Wednesday at the Igando centre when Dominion Queens face Ayisat Yusuf Queens by 4pm.
At Sango-Ota, Ijamido Queens tackle New Generation Queens by 2pm as Aseyori Queens confront Royaltoms Queens by 4pm on Wednesday.
Match coordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi urged the participating teams to abide by the rules and regulations and admonished the players to be a good ambassadors of their clubs.
“We are starting Odunmbaku Female Gold Cup today and we are using this medium to plead with our teams to play the game according to the rules.We are not going to condone any act of indiscipline during and after the match and I wish all of them success in their outings,”he said.
