Players from Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club have received knocks from the team’s head coach, Isreal Adegolu following their unimpressive performance in the ongoing Nationwide League One,NLO One U-19 Youth League taking place at the New Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle, Lagos.

Prince Kazeem Eletu started their opening match with 3-2 victory over 6th Avenue Boys, played 1-1 with Fit Youngsters of Ikorodu on Tuesday and lost 1-3 scandalously to Ighalo FC in their third match which held on Saturday.

Out of three matches played so far, Prince Kazeem Eletu FC managed to secure four points and they are now in the middle of the table.

The performance of Eletu boys in their last three matches are not only giving the coaching crew something to worry about, it also gives management staff a serious concern despite the efforts of the coaching crew on the team before the commencement of the league.

Following the defeat Eletu suffered in the hands of Ighalo FC at the weekend, the Lekki based team are now in the middle of the table in a group of ten teams and they need to win their remaining matches if they want to top the group.

Speaking after they lost to Ighalo FC, Adegolu who assessed their matches played so far admitted that his players lacked tactical discipline on the field of play and they were not clinical in front of goal post.

Adegolu who was disappointed with Eletu player’s poor form noted that his boys played below expectations especially in their last game saying that their remaining matches is a must win for them unless he would take drastic actions on some players who fail to play to instructions.

“It was not a good outing for us and the players lack tactical discipline on the field of play. Our preparation towards league was fantastic but I was surprised that the players did not play to instructions during their league matches. We created many scoring chances but my players lacked finishing which is giving me a serious concern, “he said.

Adegolu still have confidence that his team would bounce back to their winning way only if the players are ready and committed to give their best in the remaining matches.

He described Ighalo’s defeat very embarrassing result and warned some players who play below average in all the three matches to raise their game and failure to do so would face consequence.
