The top seven contestants of Nigerian Idol Season 8 are anxious ahead of this weekend’s live show, as one of them could exit the show.
Last week, 17-year-old Constance was evicted after failing to secure enough votes from viewers. This came a week after Abraham and Reigny were evicted from the show.
After surviving last week’s eviction, the remaining seven contestants performed their choice songs to seek votes from the viewers. Chisom performed ‘Holiday’ by Rema; Goodness rendered her version of Oxlade’s ‘Ku Lo Sa’; Quest performed ‘Paradise Road’ by South African female group Joy.
Ose Daniel invoked the spirit of late Afrobeat legend, Fela, with his performance of ‘Zombie’; Savy Henry performed ‘Jailer’ by Asa; Victory went the Rastafarian route with his performance of ‘Prisoner’ by Lucky Dube, while Precious Mac performed ‘Umqombothi’ by Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
Voting for the week closed 9pm on Thursday, and contestants will know their fate on the live show this weekend.
