Lagos FA Cup: Agege Council Boss Commends Vinod For Reaching S/Final Stage

Chairman of.Agege Local Government,Abdul Ganiyu Obasa has commended Vinod Football Academy for their impressive performance at the just concluded Lagos State Challenge Cup known as Lagos FA Cup.

Vinod lost to G12 FC 4-3 on penalties after one goal apiece at the regulation time in the semi final of Lagos FA Cup.

Obasa, who was among the invited guests that watched the Lagos FA Cup finals at Onikan Stadium on Sunday and double as chairman of Vinod FA commended the Vinod for their impressive performance in the competition noted that his administration would continue to support the team in subsequent high profile state organised football tournaments.

“I want to specially recognise the players of Vinod Football Academy. In their first-ever participation, the team delivered an outstanding performance, reaching the semi-finals out of 77 teams; a remarkable achievement by any standard, and one that speaks volumes about the talent and determination of our young athletes.

“I am proud of every player, every coach, and every member of the Vinod Football Academy for the discipline, and energy they brought to this tournament. We remain committed to providing stronger support for young football talent in Agege, and we will continue to build on this performance with the aim of achieving even greater success in future editions of the Lagos FA Cup.

“To the organisers of the Lagos State FA Cup, thank you for sustaining a platform that gives young athletes across our state the opportunity to compete, grow, and shine. This is precisely the kind of tournament our sporting ecosystem needs. We are proud of the progress so far, and even more excited for what lies ahead,” he said.
