The students and pupils of Covenant of Zion Schools on 25 July, 2024 were in joyous mood as the school management organised Graduation Party & Award Ceremony to end the 2023/24 academic calendar in grand style.
No fewer than 300 students and pupils came to the fourth edition of Graduation Party as parents and guardians who witnessed the occasion expressed satisfaction for the superb organisation and order of programmes such as cultural display, choreography Dance, Ballet Dance, Kindergarten, Nursery, Primary and Secondary presentation.
Other events that took place included: Dress To School contest by the Kindergarten, Atilogwu Dance and host of others.
The school which is located at 2/29 Idris Adebisi Street, off Afurugbin Road, Oja Bus stop, Ijegun, Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Alimosho LG, Lagos, has more than 200 students both in primary and secondary school section.
Most of the students who participated in one event or the others lived up to expectations as parents and guardians who witnessed the colourful graduation party were satisfied with the the talents deposited in the students of Covenant of Zion School.
The graduation party witnessed pupils/students graduated from Kindergarten 2 to Nursery, Nursery 2 to Primary, primary 5 to JSS 1, JSS 3 to SSS 1, while 3 SSS had a sent forth.
Speaking with our correspondent, Director of Programmes and Projects of the school, Pastor (Dr.) Michael Babajide Oresegun thanked the parents and guardians for their financial and moral support at the outgone academic session.
He described graduation party a huge success, extending his appreciation to parents and staff who supported to make this year’s edition better and colourful than the previous years.
“I am very grateful for the success of our 2023/2024 End of Session Graduation Party and Award Ceremony because this year is better than previous edition and for God’s abundant grace upon our pupils, students, parents and staff.
Commenting on the school achievements within the last four years, Oresegun said the achievements of the school informed the parents to enroll their children at Covenant of Zion Schools. He revealed that the school has always being performing creditably well academically at: National Common Entrance, Junior, Senior WAEC, NECO and JAMB, including sports and entertainment. The school came out top position at both Spelling and Mathematics competition held recently. He admitted that the success of the school lies on quality management and quality staff recruitment, with good facilities and facilitators.
“Our staff are top-notch. We employed more experienced, matured teachers and security personnel who monitor the pupils and students activities during and after school hours. We don’t condone indiscipline and any student who violates the school rules and regulations faces adequate sanction accordingly, “he said.
In her earlier welcome address by Proprietress of the school, Pastor (Mrs.) Esther Olubunmi Oresegun expressed gratitude to God Almighty for gift of lives and congratulated the graduands for their successful academic sessions.
“We thank God immensely for leading us this far. We are gathered here today to celebrate and bid farewell to our graduating pupils/students as they begin new level in their educational pursuit after successfully completing their primary /secondary education.
“I pray the Almighty God will continue to bless and uphold the parents, teachers and management and our children will continue to shine as stars in Jesus Name Amen.”she prayed.
