In preparation for this year’s 1XBET football tournament, Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club clashed with The Football Network Football Club of Ajegunle in a friendly match which ended 2-2 on Tuesday at the Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle, Lagos.
Both teams gave a good account of themselves in the encounter produced four goals thriller.
Although the first half ended in barren draw as both teams failed to convert their scoring chances.The second half was a different ball game when Adams Jawil opened goal scoring for Ajegunle boys in 47th minutes.
Prince Kazeem Eletu players quickly responded to the goal deficit as Samuel Eke who emerged as man of the match for Eletu side scored two goals in 50th and 58th minutes to give his team lead in the pulsating tie.
As the match progressed, Victor Uzochukwu snatched equaliser for his team in 62th minutes to end the game in stalemate.

Speaking after the encounter, Prince Kazeem Eletu Coach,Isreal Adegolu said the friendly match was part of preparation for the 1XBET football tournament noted that his boys still need to work hard to achieve the club target.
“Work is still in progress and it was not a bad game for me but we still need to work on our attack and defence line.We still need more players from outside to join our training session and if we are satisfied with them, we can allow them to play for us,”he said.
In his own opinion, General manager of Eletu FC, Eletu Muftau expressed satisfaction with the progress of the team despite the fact that the players just resumed after seven months on break.
He also shared the sentiment of Adegolu that the club is opened for young players who have passion for the round leather game.
“Of course we are calling on young players within and outside Lagos to come to Prince Kazeem Eletu for trials.If they perform and meet our requirements we will absorb them into the team,”he said.
While speaking,CEO of The football Network FC, Michael Okopi admitted that both teams played well but noted that his boys lost some scoring chances that would have given them victory over their opponents.
Also reacting, General manager of The football Network FC, Osuagwu Chukwudi stated that both teams played purposeful football but frowned how his team missed some scoring chances in the encounter.
