Coordinator of Eko Youths Sports Association, Lateef Ogunfowora has commended Aare Tomori Williams for keeping to his words by rewarding the winners millions of naira at the just concluded Aare Tomori Williams Football Competition.
In the finals, Young Talents defeated Aseyori Queens 3-1 to win the female category, while Fortune Academy humbled Olaleye FC 3-2 in the male category.
The cup donor rewarded the winners N1.5million, first runner up received N1 million, while the third-place position pocketed the sum of N500,000 in the male category.
In the female category, Young Talents received the sum of N1 million as champions, while the firsts runner up and second runners up got the sum of N600,000 and N300,000 respectively.
Ogunfowora expressed delight that the cup donor had finally rewarded the winners for the job well done.
“Let me use this medium to thank Aare Tomori Williams for living up to his promise he made by doling out this huge of money to the winners. This shows that he is a man of his words.
“All the finalists had collected their prize monies and I want to thank him for his financial support for the competition in the last six years. I believe that the next edition would be better, and teams would be rewarded handsomely,” he said.
