Defending Champions, Ikorodu City Football Academy would be in trouble when they face formidable Bariga Stars in Lagos Supremacy Cup scheduled to commence on Monday at the FIFA legacy pitch of National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Ikorodu City who won the last edition of the Supremacy Cup also known as scouting football programme would begin their title defense against Bariga Stars by 9pm on Monday in an encounter promises to be entertaining and tactical.
Bariga Stars are regarded as the newcomer of the competition and their recent form in various competitions in the state would give their opponents a sleepness night.
Although Ikorodu City are equal to the task and they are coming to defend the title won last year. Ikorodu City boys should be wary of their opponent’s current form and a win to their opponents would make a tournament a difficult one for the title holders.
Meanwhile fans should watch out for a match between 36 Lion of Lagos and Beyond Limits Football Academy from Shagamu, Ogun State.
The much anticipated encounter would hold on Monday by 8am same venue. The match has been described a rivalry match which would generate a lot of interest among football fans in the state.
Beyond Limits in their usual style of play always keep ball possession and they are deadly in attack, compact in midfield and solid in defence.
36 Lion need to double their effort to get a desirable result if they are playing a team like Beyond Limits whose style of play is a threat to the opponents.
In other matches scheduled for Monday, Edo Selected face Atlantic Selected by 7pm, while Badagry Selected tackle Collins Edwin by 10am.
