Head Coach of Igando Football Club, IGFC, Muhammeed Aberejo, has admitted that their opening group match against Future Guys on Friday afternoon would be tough in the forthcoming Igando Ramadan Cup, which is at the Proposed Palace playground, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
The opening match would be played between IGFC and Future Guys by 2:45pm, while Sterling City battle White Soccer by 4:45pm on Friday.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Aberejo told our correspondent that his boys are aware of the challenges ahead saying that their first match would determine how far they would go far in the tournament.
He admitted that his opponents are equally a good side noted that it would be a tough match for the both sides when they clash.
“Of course, is going to be tough, but my boys are fully ready. We are going into the match with high expectations and I believe that his boys will deliver when it matters most. I have done my own part on them as a coach, and I want them to play to the instructions throughout the encounter,” he said.
Meanwhile, a total of 24 teams are expected to take part in the annual competition organised by Prince Gas Global Concept.
Match coordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamonsi, said the organising committee is ready to host hitch free tourney and charged the participating teams to always abide by the rules and regulations
“We are set for the tournament, and we have informed the participants of the rules and regulations of the competition during our recent draws, so we are good to go. Let me quickly say this: any team forming trouble during or after the game would be sanctioned accordingly,” he said.
Action continues on Saturday as Sharp Striker faces White Soccer by 3pm, and Asemalu Boys tackle Sunshine FC by 5pm.
