The much anticipated finals of Prince GAS Cup would hold on Tuesday at the Sansan football pitch, Igando, Lagos.
To reach the final, Bucknor defeated Sterling FC 1-0 while Future Stars 99 hammered Igando FC 2-1 to reach the final stage.
In the semi final U-15 category, Royal Warriors defeated God Did Foundation 2-1, while Young Tigers defeated Samjaso 3-1 on penalties after barren draw at the regulation time.
Tournament cordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi said they are ready for the grandfinale and commended the participating teams for their performance.
Gbadamosi however frowned over the unruly behaviours of Igando FC in their semi final saying that the attack launch on the match officials by Igando players and fans was uncalled for.
“It was unfortunate that Igando FC coaching crew led by Jamiu Aberejo, players and fans heavily descended on their match officials for not awarding them penalty kick.One of the team’s player confirmed to me that there was no biased officiating throughout game,”he said.
“This ugly incident almost brought the tourney into disrepute and the disciplinary commiittee had decided to place the club on ban until further notice,”he said.
Meanwhile, James Christian of Igando FC is leading higest goal scorer sheet with six goals, while Love Taiwo of Royal Warriors is leading higest goal scorer with four goals un U-15 category.
The finalists according to the organisers would be rewarded with the cash prize and set of Jersey in both categories.
