Coaching crew of Samjason Football Club Of Igando led by Toyin Shoyemi are facing difficult time following the 1-3 scandalous home defeat suffered against Magboro FC in the ongoing Ikeja Divisional Football Super League.
This is the third time Samjason lost at home and yesterday match which was held at Egan Grammar School have put the home team coaching crew under severe pressure.
Samjason home defeat came as a shock to many football stakeholders who came to watch the game. When both teams met in Magboro home soil some weeks ago, it was a tough game for Magboro despite their 2-0 victory over the visiting team.
The performance of Samjason boys shocked their fans as the visiting team were on rampage throughout the encounter. The home defeat put Samjason in tight corner as the chances of reaching super four had suffered a big blow.
In his response to defeat, Samjason team manager, Samuel Uchenna Eke expressed shock over his team’s home loss and warned his coaching crew to wake up from their slumber or face exit door.
“I followed the match online but very sad to suffer another defeat at home.Let me say this,Super four is not my main objective, if the coaches cannot get result without my presence in the team, then their job is at stake. My main aim is to market players and I am in the process of finalising a player to start his professional career soonest.
“The Super four target should be the responsibility of our coaches, not me. It’s their responsibility. I don’t need to be with the team, my main priority is the business side of it which I am fully responsible. It’s up to our coaches to take responsibility of failure and success. Meanwhile I see the league as more of developmental, of which better results is also part of it. I believe that with this defeat, they ll bounce back stronger in their subsequent matches,” he said.
