Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club have been drawn with tough opponents at the Lagos Island zone in the forthcoming 1XCup football tournament.
According to the fixtures released by the organisers, Prince Kazeem Eletu FC would face Collins Edwin Sporting Club on July 24,2026 at Inspire Stadium, Oshodi Cappa, Lagos.
At Lagos Island zone,6 teams would qualify for the next round of the competition out of 24 teams in the zone.
Prince Kazeem Eletu boys have been playing friendly matches recently and they are fully ready to face favourite team, Collins Edwin SC in an encounter picked as tough match at the zone.
On the other hand, Collins Edwin are forced to be reckoned with as far as football is concern in Lagos.They are currently playing in NLO.They have reached quarter final in the past Lagos FA Cup.They also involved in series of football scouting programmes in the recent past within and outside the state.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC,Isreal Adegolu admitted that 1X Cup is a tough competition and his boys are mentally ready for any opponent pair with them.
He said his team are not afraid of any team saying that every team in 1X Cup is a good side and they have equal chance to progress to the next stage of the competition.
Meanwhile teams are divided in five zones.24 teams would play one another at Ikeja zone and six would qualify to the next stage.
At Badagry zone, 20 teams would battle in the zone and five are expected to book a place to the next stage. 20 teams would fight at Ikorodu zone as five would qualify to the next stage.
At Epe zone, 12 teams would fight for a battle and only two teams would qualify to the next stage.
At Lagos Island zone, 24 teams would be in battlefield and six are expected to reach the next stage of the competition.
A total of 24 teams would qualify in all zones to the 24 teams round robin format where 12 teams and four best loosers would qualify to the round of 16.
