Following the late equaliser Dosu Joseph Football Club conceded to deny them three points by Collins Edwins Football Club on Monday in the ongoing 1XBET Community Cup,general manager of the Dosu boys, Joseph Shoyemi said they would continue to figh till their last match in the group.
Dosu Joseph goal was cancelled in the last minute by their opponents in the group match which ended 1-1 at the FIFA legacy pitch of national stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Shoyemi who expressed his disappointment after the match remained optimistic that his team would continue to fight for the qualification ticket.
“We still have a match to play against Shomolu Bariga FC who are leading the group for now.We have five points and we need to get desirable result in our last match to determine if we would qualify or not.We would continue to fight till our last match,”he said.
Shoyemi who commended the players for their resilience and fighting spirit display in the championship charged them to remain focused and go for victory in their next match saying that anything short of that would put the club in precarious position on the table.
“Let me commend the coaching crew and players for their commitment and dedication to all the matches.We have a game at hand which is very important to us.The players should be on top of their game when they are executing their last game.
“It would be a huge disappointment if we cannot progress from this tournament. We have come a long way and we cannot afford to leave this competition at the group stage. Like I said, we would fight and continue to fight till we achieve our set objective,” he said.
