A group of young Nigerians under the aegis of Young Professionals For Tinubu (YP4T), has thrown its weight behind the Super Eagles to fly higher during the AFCON taking place in Cote’dvoire.
In a press statement signed by its National Coordinator, Hon.John CDO Ikeotuonye, the group charged the Super Eagles to redeem its flagging image by doing very well during the AFCON, that kicks off Saturday, in Abidjan.
“The recent outings of the team hasn’t been encouraging, particularly, in the World Cup qualifiers. However, the boys have another opportunity to redeem themselves and make Nigerians happy and proud again.
“YP4T is a group of passionate and patriotic young Nigerian professionals from different walks of life. Therefore, as professionals, too, we expect the Super Eagles to come to the party with their A-game and prove to the world that they are indeed, patriotic and committed to making Nigeria proud,” Ikeotuonye stated.
It could be recalled that last year, YP4T held a very impressive grassroots football tournament, which was aimed, amongst others, to empower the youths and give them a career path, as well as, sensitising them on their social responsibilities, that include participation in elections and other basic social responsibilities, as citizens of Nigeria.
