Director of THARMM EQUEST,one of the leading Bkack entertainment companies in the UK, Walters Trevor has revealed why his company sponsored the just concluded Cosmas Harmony Cup in Lagos.
Speaking at the final of the competition held recently in Lagos, the company representative who doubles as tournament cordinator, Ajayi Olumide Adedapo disclosed that the UK based entertainment company sponsored the football tourney as part of the vision and mission the company has for Nigerian grassroots football and Africa at large.
“This expansion is part of Tharmm Equest’s global strategy to increase the popularity of football in Nigeria and Africa in general and provide opportunities for young footballers to highlight their skills on a bigger stage.
“Expanding our footballing commitment is a crucial step in realizing our long-term goals to grow the local African football scene and encourage more young athletes to pursue their dreams,” said Adedapo who quoted Trevor on his goodwill message to the organisers.
Speaking further, Adedapo also hinted that the company is planning to engage the service of UK based sporting companies such as football clubs and scouts to take bigger stake in the subsequent editions.
Meanwhile Harmony football tournament was won by Ms Success Football Club of Mushin, each finalist was given a commemorative shirt sponsored by Tharmm Equest (UK’s No1 Black Entertainment Company).
The UK based company Tharmm Equest boosted the profile of the tournament by giving financial support to the tournament and presented branded shirts to the finalists.The company also gave match ball stand, kit bags to the outstanding players of the tournament.
Trevor, whose company sponsors the Power Rangers Football Academy team in his message through Adedapo expressed disappointment after the team crashed out in the quarter-finals but commended the two finalists, Victory Future Stars FA and MS Success FC for their impressive performance throughout the tournament.
