Who Is After Asisat Oshoala’s Career? The Recurring Injury Saga Of Nigeria’s Star Girl (Part 1)

The recurrent state of Asisat Oshoala’s injury has really given sleepiness concerns to many football fans both home and abroad since October last year after the Aisha Buhari Cup held in Lagos
A thorough investigations have shown that a good number of key persona has being figured out in the terrible issue battling the star player of FC Barcelona Femini team in Spain.
The first issue is the captaincy saga in the Nigeria’s women national team, the Super Falcons. It was gathered that there has been a long time fight and inner rift between Desire Oparanozie, Onome Ebi and Franscica Ordega following the announcement of Asisat Oshoala as the captain of the Falcons after the captain band was taken from Oparanozie and handed over to a junior player in Asisat despite having top players like Onome and Ordega in the team.
Unfortunately, since Asisat began to wear the captain band, things have no doubt gone worst for her in terms of performance in the Nigerian national team.
The Onome Ebi’s factor effect
Recall that in 2020, Desire Oparanozie was also stripped of the captain’s arm band and handed over to Oshoala. Oparanozie lost the privilege after being accused of insubordination and unnecessary agitations for the team, as well as zero performance on the pitch. Meanwhile, shortly after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) stripped the captain band from Asisat and gave it back to Onome, the senior in the national team, Asisat went on social media to call Onome all sort of names.
Oshoala put the blame of her woes on the Super Falcons defender, Onome Ebi, saying she was 40 and still looking for validation.
Asisat tweeted: ”May I not be 40 and still desperately crave for validation
”When somebody openly said she FASTED and PRAYED against the captain Band, how we wan do na? Check everybody wey collect after her, how far?”
Asisat is a long time friend of Onome. Many people around the duo often said they are like mother and daughter.
Watchers of the event happening in the Super Falcons and those who are closed to the players believe that there are hidden things between two which is spiritual especially when Asisat claimed on the social media that Onome can do anything to get a position.
Now should we say that someone closer to Asisat in the team is responsible for the predicament she is currently facing? “The real spiritual mother turned lion over night?”
Asisat Oshoala’s character factor
Many people closer to Asisat have known her to be a lady whose character and attitude to people around are not worth discussing
Does she think that her celebrity status will last forever?
Many can still remember her outburst during the ENDSARS protest when she called Nigeria a ‘zoo nation’. Her performance at the Aisha Buhari Cup and the injury that followed afterwards were issues of concerns to the career of this young girl who attained fame in her football career unexpectedly.
A football fan once said that “Asisat really needs to be calm, Nigeria made her, she needs to be calm about issues concerning Nigeria and the entire country. She is an ambassador who many people are looking up to. She should be weary of what she is doing on the social media. Unfortunately, Asisat fails to realise that she has many enemies than friends. Even within the NFF, her rise to the stardom would always attract problem for her than friendship. It is high time she manages her attitude to people, characters and personality. She should know when to talk and when not to talk to people and on issues. Unfortunately for her, the enemies within have shown her the naija silent approach.
Was Asisat facing depression ahead of the Morocco 2022 WAFCON)?
We can’t say she was depressed ahead of the Nations Cup after being stripped of the captaincy band, she was the highest goal scorer for Barcelona women’s team in the women’s la liga.
Obviously going into the tournament was an opportunity to show the world again and Africa what she is capable of on the pitch.
But going into a team where you had been stripped of captain band without the federation informing you as a world class player will also play a huge and major role psychologically. No doubt she would have lot of memories going on in her mind playing in the team.
Juju scare
This is Africa and Naija to the world. It’s obvious someone is after her leg and persistent injury is becoming very obvious. Within a period of six month, she has recorded back to back injuries in the national team.
This is not about Barcelona, this is the handwork of our naija people who want to silent the ‘Star girl’ and shame her works. This has nothing to do with age , at Barcelona she scores, but coming to the national team, it’s another story.
What Asisat Oshoala must do
My single advice for Asisat is to stay calm, keep her mouth. She must invest in herself and family now and plan for the future.
This is the time to replan and restrategize and move things ahead. She needs to stay off friends, stay focused. If possible she should stay off the Super Falcons for now and concentrate fully on club football. What I mean is that she should take a break from Africa.
Don’t forget, before you came on board we had the likes of Mercy Akide , Perpetual Nkwocha, Desire Oparanozie, Kikelomo Ajayi, Florence Omagbemi and others. A lot of stars are yet on born while many are coming up.
Asisat Oshoala should try as much as possible to manage her anger and temperament when talking to people as what you say can never be retrieved.
Wish you well in your career
