The ongoing U-16 Alimosho Football Coaches Council League which kicked off some weeks ago has reached the quarter final stage.
The championship is proudly sponsored and packaged by Alimosho Football Coaches Council under the leadership of Samuel Uchenna Eke.
The organisers adopted UEFA championship league format and only eight teams out of ten teams garnered required points on the table to reach the quarter finals.
The quarter finals would be an home and away format and only four teams would qualify for the semi final stage
In the quarter finals pairing made available to our correspondent, Sammy FA would host Path FA on Friday by 2pm at Ijegun football pitch.
Three matches would line up for Saturday as Samjason FA would be a guest to Wonder Light FA by 1pm, Golden Wealth FA welcome Ola Stars by 1pm, while Realm Athletic host Vision Stars by 9:30am at Shasa Airforce Base, Egbeda.
Match coordinator, Eden Oku reminded the teams to see this championship not a do or die affairs and urged them to embrace spirit of sportsmanship throughout the game.
He disclosed that the organisers would not tolerate indiscipline among the coaches and players during their matches saying that anybody found wanting would be sanctioned accordingly.
“We are now in crucial stage and we don’t want coaches or players to forment trouble during or after the game. The championship was organised for the development of the players not a winning at all cost syndrome. We have deployed competent match officials to various centres and teams especially at home should cooperate with them, so that we can have a seamless matches.I also wish all the teams best of luck”he said
