Former Senatorial Youth Leader, Lagos Central Senatorial District, Hon. Hammed Olanrewaju Mohammed has called on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the last presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to have a rethink in the pursuant of his petition against victory of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Atiku’s petition is awaiting judgement at the Presidential Election Tribunal challenging the victory of All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate who was eventually declared winner and sworn-in as the president of Nigeria on 29 May 2023.
Prince Mohammed, who was a former member of the state executive of Lagos APC told a media conference in Lagos on Thursday said Tinubu’s victory at the last edition was not just a fluke, but a victory giving to the president by the majority of Nigerians.
“This was an election which most of us knew that Tinubu deserved the victory because he worked very hard to attain this level. He is a pan-Nigeria who believes in the Nigeria Project,” Mohammed said.
Mohammed implores Nigerians to give President Tinubu a chance, as he is the president who all of Nigeria needs now.
He called on the leaders of the Southwest, South-South, Southeast and the northern part of the country to join hands with the President as he has pure love and progressive attitude towards the country and is willing to liberate Nigeria.
According to Prince Mohammed, a chieftain of Lagos APC, the crisis Nigeria as a country is facing today was prolonged by the previous administration, which could tear the nation apart if the president doesn’t end fuel subsidies.
He went on to say that he believes in the President and that with his wife (Oluremi Tinubu)’s support, a renewed hope is sure for Nigeria.
“I believe in President Tinubu; he cannot fail because he has a wife who can realize a reality. She served three terms in the Senate, representing Lagos central senatorial district, where she has done so well that no senator can match her track record of returning to her constituents,” Prince Mohammed said.
