Stakeholders Set To Review National Telecommunications Policy 2000 At Lagos Workshop

Key industry stakeholders and members of the public have been invited to participate in the Public Review Workshop on the National Telecommunications Policy 2000.

According to an invitation issued by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on behalf of the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, the two-day workshop is scheduled to hold from May 20 to 21, 2026, at the Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State, beginning at 9:00 a.m. daily.

The workshop is part of ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to reposition and strengthen Nigeria’s telecommunications sector while advancing innovation-driven economic growth.

The event is expected to attract stakeholders from across the telecommunications and digital economy ecosystem to deliberate on the review of the National Telecommunications Policy 2000. The review aims to align the policy with emerging technological developments and Nigeria’s broader digital transformation agenda.
