Head coach of Samjason Football Academy, Edem Oku has violated the rules governing ongoing U-15 Seamoriow Football Championship by ordering his players out of football pitch while playing against Seamoriow Football Academy after 14 minutes of the encounter.
It was 7-0 result in favour of Seamoriow boys when Oku called his players to leave the pitch despite the presence of technical crew members and organising committee led by Seyi Amos at the venue.
Our correspondent observed that only few players of Samjason came to the match venue at the scheduled time, while Oku was not around before the match kicked off.
The match which was scheduled for 9am went ahead but when Oku finally came to the match venue argued with match officials that his players were short three and there was no need to continue the game and ordered his players to leave the pitch.
Reacting to the match abandonment, convener of the championship, Seyi Amos expressed displeasure with the character of Oku noted that the Lagos FA would take disciplinary action on his unprofessional conduct.
He said Oku had displayed high level of unprofessionalism and he almost brought the championship into disrepute.
“I was surprised that an affiliate coach of Alimosho Football Coaches Council could order his players out of pitch after almost 15 minutes of play. This is uncceptable and uncalled for.
“At this juncture the Lagos FA would take disciplinary action on Samjason and Oku despite the fact we have stated in our rules and regulations the consequence of walkover and abandonment of the match,”he said.
Speaking in the same vein, a technical member of Lagos FA,Ishola Bello expressed shock with the attitude of Coach Oku and promised that Lagos FA would take disciplinary action on coach Oku.
