Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN) has congratulated Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for leading Napoli to the Italian Seria A title after a 33 years long wait.
In the statement signed by PFAN President Tijani Babangida, the players’ union said it is very proud of the feat achieved by the 24 years old Nigerian player. Adding that it was a testimonial of the player’s hardwork, perseverance, determination and the never-say-die attitude of the average Nigerian.
The statement further remarked about the recent splurge of young Nigeria-born players currently dominating the football world. Stating that Nigeria football is on the verge of regaining its pride of place in world football.
It also charged the waves-making Osimhen, who is equally the most-sought striker in world football, not to relent or rest on his oars and keeping working harder to ensure he brings home the Africa and world best player honours.
PFAN went on to reassure the Nigerian players community of its unflinching commitment to promoting and protecting their welfare and the betterment of their careers.
