Organisers of the ongoing Peace Cup have expressed satisfaction with the numbers of players a football agent selected and urged others to come and scout for more players who can feature in the Nigerian league or abroad in the nearest future.
The third edition of Peace Cup kicked off some weeks ago at the Akinola football pitch, Aboru, Iyana-Ipaja, Alimosho,Lagos.
Tournament cordinator, Dr Kolade Kolapo disclosed that an invited football agent had identified more than five players during the tournament that may send for trials in club within Nigeria and abroad.
Kolapo explained that Peace Cup is a tournament that brings the best out of the players and noted that he was not surprised with the players identified by the football agent.
“I am extremely satisfied with the caliber of players our football agent identified and picked.This is a good news for the players and the teams involved.I don’t want to mention their names now but I believe that more players would soon be discovered as tournament progresses.
“This is a competition that involve big teams and it is highly competitive among the teams so I am using this medium to call on other football agents to come to the match venue and identify players who are marketable to professional clubs within and outside the country,” he said.
Action continues on Saturday as Stotech face Crown Stars, Young Elite battle Future Image, while Tridal FC face Plantinum FC.
On Sunday, Morining All Stars would take on Godly FC to complete the group stage.Two quarter final matches would hold on Sunday afternoon while Ottasolo battle Shuffle Select as Fadob tackle Future Hero in the second match of the day.
