Ottasolo Football Club have been warned to forget victory when they confront FC Athletico by 3pm in the third editions of Peace Cup scheduled to kick off on Sunday at the Akinola football field, Aboru, Iyana-Ipaja, Alimosho, Lagos.
President of FC Athletico, Andrew Ibechidi disclosed this to our correspondent in Lagos that their match against Ottasolo would be a tough cracker but boasted that their opponents would fall like a pack of card comes on Sunday.
“The competition is designed in such a way we would play each other twice to determine who qualify for the next stage. We are at home on Sunday and we want to win convincingly so that our return leg would be a formality.
“Ottasolo is one of the toughest teams in the competition and my coaching crew and players are aware of the challenges ahead. Let me say this, Ottasolo should forget the victory because we are going to approach the game like a cup final comes on Sunday, “he said.
Ibechidi also disclosed that winning their first leg would be a morale boost for his players saying that anything short of victory would be a huge disappointment to their fans and club management.
He however commended the organisers for sustaining the tourney in the last two years saying that competition has attracted big players from NNL and premier players within the country.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, chairman Organising Committee, Dr Kolade Kolapo welcomed all the participating teams and reminded them the rules and regulations guiding the annual tourney.
“Peace Cup is the talk of the town considering the calibre of players and teams participating in the tournament. All the teams are fully ready and I want to use this medium to remind our participants to abide by our rules and failure to adhere strictly to our rules, such club or teams would be punished accordingly,” he said.
