A total of eight teams have been selected for the forthcoming U-15 Humis Memorial Football Tourney scheduled to commence August,11 at Federal Medical Centre,Iyana- Era,Badagry Express Road, Lagos.
The championship is organised by Tico Concept Solution Arena and powered by GEDOL Engineering Company Limited.
The selected teams are Tico FA,Morning star FA,Oscar rovers FC,Soccer Star FA,Leads United FC,Dynamic FA,Young Star FA and J-Unity 3.0 FA
Match coordinator, Sunny Ehon confirmed that the eight teams were carefully selected based on their football pedigree in Badagry Division to take part in the inaugural edition of the championship.
He explained that the U-15 Humis Memorial Football Championship would give the coaches ample opportunity to develop their players and bring them to the limelight and charged the club owners not to see the tournament a do or die affair but a developmental football programme that would benefits the young players who are passionate about the round leather game.
“Most of our children are on holiday and a programme like this would help our coaches to develop their players physically, mentally and pyscologically and also prepare them for future challenges.The championship is organised for development of the players not a do or die affair,” he said.
The draw ceremony would hold on August 8, 2026 at Federal Medical Centre and organisers expected all the participants to attend the draws.
Meanwhile the Humis Memorial Football Tourney free age was concluded recently and it was won by Leads United after defeating FEDAN boys 2-0 to emerge as champions.
