Organisers of the ongoing U-15 Humis memorial football tournament have hailed the performance of the teams that played their opening match on Tuesday at the Federal Medical Centre, Iyana-Era,Badagry Express Road.
The tournament which kicked off on Tuesday witnessed two matches as organisers rated the performance of the teams above standard.
In the opening match, Dynamic Nations boys defeated Oscar Rovers 2-1 as Morning Stars lost 0-3 to 247 FA in the second match of the day.
Chairman organising committee, Sunday Ehon who watched the opening match with appreciable crowd said the two matches lived up to expectations noted that the form of the teams on the field of play were quite impressive.
Ehon said the two matches played on Tuesday produced fantastic goals and commended all the players for impressive performance displayed during the tournament.
“These players are very young but I am impressed with the standard of play by all the teams. It shows that grassroots football has come of age. The fans were really thrilled with the form of the teams and I urge other teams to follow this standard so that the best team would emerge as the winner at the end of the tournament” he said.
Meanwhile two matches have lined up on Friday while J-unity 3.0 FA face Young star FA by 9.30am as Young Falles FA battle Soccer Star FA by 11.30am.
