Olymptrade Partners Lagos Food Bank Initiative To Support 1,100 Families In Nigeria

Olymptrade, the global online trading platform, has partnered with Lagos Food Bank Initiative, Nigeria’s largest hunger-relief nonprofit, to deliver a charitable initiative supporting vulnerable families across Lagos, Nigeria.

The initiative unfolded across two events at the Food Bank’s warehouse in Ikeja, Lagos, together supporting 1,100 households.

On June 20, 2026, Olymptrade joined the Temporary Food Assistance Program, Lagos Food Bank’s immediate-relief program, distributing 1,000 food boxes to vulnerable families across the Alimosho, Orile-Agege, Oshodi and Mushin communities. Each box contained essential food staples and household necessities, along with non-food items such as clothing, shoes, and bags. Beneficiaries included elderly women, widows and visually impaired men. In total, around 5,000 people benefited from the distribution.

On July 4, 2026, the partnership turned to long-term resilience through the Family Farming outreach. Designed to promote sustainable food production and income generation, the program helps families improve their access to fresh produce and build new sources of income. Olymptrade supported 100 households distributing agricultural starter kits and hands-on training in poultry, snail and vegetable farming.

Together, these efforts balance immediate assistance with long-term solutions, addressing urgent needs while contributing to sustainable community development.

This initiative builds on Olymptrade’s long-standing commitment to humanitarian work. Guided by its philosophy of “Care that counts”, the company has supported communities across Egypt, Yemen, Lebanon, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Syria and beyond, providing food assistance, healthcare services and essential relief supplies to thousands of vulnerable people worldwide.

Olymptrade is an international fintech brand established in 2014, serving users in more than 130 countries. The company focuses on making online trading more accessible through comprehensive educational resources and a strong user-centric approach. Beyond its core business, Olymptrade supports social initiatives that address local needs, including food assistance, healthcare, community-focused humanitarian programs, and financial literacy and education.

Lagos Food Bank Initiative is Nigeria’s largest hunger-relief non-profit and a nutrition-focused organization committed to improving food intake and reducing hunger through community-driven programs. Since commencing operations in 2016, it has served millions of meals to beneficiaries nationwide and today operates as a food hub supporting partner pantries and NGOs across Nigeria.
