The semi final ties of the ongoing Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye Football Competition, otherwise known as Olowo’s Cup, among Secondary Schools in Owo kingdom, has reached its semi final stage.
Scheduled for 24 July 2024 at Owo Community Stadium, the semi final matches will be played by New Church School against AUD College by 1pm, while the second game, Imade College versus Owo High School will be played by 3pm.
The Olowo’s Cup Super 8 Tournament, which enters its second edition this year, is a grassroots football tournament designed for students in secondary schools in Owo land, is being organized to honour the Paramount Ruler of Owo land, His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III.
The final of the tournament is scheduled for 7 September, 2024, as it will be one of the side attractions of the renowned Igogo Festival 2024.
