Head Coach of Chekas United, Moses Udoh says he is optimistic that his team will qualify for the quarter-final of the ongoing Obasa Games taking place in Anwaru Islam College and Dairy Farm School, Agege, Lagos.
Chekas has two points from their two matches, and they face Ajegunle United on Sunday afternoon in a must-win match at Anwaru Islam College, Agege.
Udoh told our correspondent that he is not satisfied with the results of their two matches but sure of victory in their next match.
“It is a do-or-die affair against Ajegunle United on Sunday. We only have two points in our group and we need an outright victory against Ajegunle United.
“I am quite aware that our match against Ajegunle United would not be easy but I have told my boys to remain focused and steadfast to get desirable results in tomorrow’s game,” he said.
Meanwhile, Olawale Quadri, the media coordinator of Obasa Games, commended the participating teams for their sportsmanship since the competition started.
However, he urged the teams to always abide by the rules and regulations and shun violence that can tarnish the competition’s image.
