Head Coach of Prince Kazeeem Eletu Football Club of Lagos, Israel Adegolu has admonished his players to remain focused and go for victory when they confront De Elite FA on Tuesday in week six Nationwide League One, NLO U-19 Youth League by 10am at the New Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle, Lagos.
Adegolu disclosed this after his team defeated Crystal FC 1-0 over the weekend. Eletu boys played five matches,won two, drew two and lost one. Their performance has not impressed Coach Adegolu who said his boys needed to be clinical and hungry for success in their league campaign.
“Our campaign in the league has not been impressive because we didn’t take our chances very well. We supposed to score eight goals in our last game but we only managed to score a goal which was not too good for a team like Prince Kazeem Eletu, “
“In term of tactical play, they are doing well but when it comes to scoring, we find it difficult to score which is giving me a serious concern.We cannot continue like this in the league because goal scoring is very key and if we cannot do it, I think there is problem in our attacking line which I quickly need to be addressed in our subsequent matches, “he said.
Adegolu stressed the need for the improvement in the team and charged his boys to go for victory in their next game.
According to Adegolu,the next match is a must win for Eletu boys if they want to compete for the top position on the table.
Adegolu who was disappointed with the missed scoring chances created by his boys in the last five matches still believes that his boys can improve if they are determined and ready but if they remain in this lack of scoring ability,the team would continue to struggle in the league.
