Defending Champions, Yaweh Soul Football Academy walloped Brave Star 3-0 in the opening match of New Revolution football tournament which kicked off recently at the Egan football pitch, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.

Yaweh Soul boys did not disappoint their fans and their performance showed that they are fully prepared to defend the title won last year.

In another match, Igando Football Club,IGFC were on rampage last weekend when they thrashed Adebayo Samba 4-0 in their first game.

IGFC who paraded young players in the tournament also lived up to expectations as they recorded shocking result against Adebayo Samba Boys.

In other results, Vision FC also humbled Seria boys 3-0,Heart of Lion played 1-1 with Sunday Stars,One Heart lost 0-2 to De Viliant boys,Eid All Stars defeated Kings FC 2-1 and Sansan boys forced Sterling City to play 2-2.

Jossam boys played 1-1 with 11 Strikers boys,SPS defeated St Vincent 1-0,and God Did FA also played 2-2 with Unity FC.

Action resumes on Sunday as Blue Spatan face Young Stars by 11am, while Egan Sunday Sunday team tackle Crusaders boys by 1pm.

Match cordinator Lucky Ose Omozokpia commended the teams for the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited in the tournament and urged the coaches, club owners and managers to channel their complaint to the organising committee rather to take law into their hands.

He however appreciated their sponsors for their support and called for more supports from well meaning Nigerians to make the competition a memorable one.
