NBBF Announces Open Try-Out In Nigeria, USA For Female Basketball Players

As parts of its plans to further encourage the development of the game in Nigeria and also increase its talent pool, the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), led by Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, has announced its plans to organise open tryouts for Nigerian female basketball players in United States Of America and Nigeria, respectively. 

According to a release by the Secretary-General Peter Njoku, the tryouts is to invite and encourage, fit and properly motivated athletes who will ultimately represent Nigeria and be a part of the Elite D’Tigress team. 

The Coaching staff and Scouts including newly appointed USA based Nigeria Senior Female Basketball Coach Rena Wakama, will be at the venues to select athletes who exhibit outstanding skills and potentials. 

The tryouts in USA will hold Wallace, Chicago on July 8-9, while July 8-9, and July 10-11, would be dates for the Nigerian tryouts in Lagos and Abuja respectively. 

Interested female basketball players are advised to register clicking the link in the Bio or scanning the QR code on the flyers, which are now out in the public domain.
