Mega Scouting Tourney: Organisers Commend Prince Kazeem Eletu, Others For Brilliant Football Display

Commendation has gone to Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club and others for their scintillating performances displayed at the just concluded Mega Scouting football tourney, which was held at Inspire Sports Centre, Oshodi Cappa, Lagos.

The three days scouting programme which commenced on Tuesday ended on Thursday.Eight teams participated in the programme organised by Gaibayo Sports Management headed by Gabriel Ayobamidele Akande.

Speaking with our correspondent on Thursday, Akande expressed satisfaction with the performance of Prince Kazeem Eletu and others saying that that the tourney has produced young talents that were selected by the foreign scouts.

“Prince Kazeem Eletu FC and other teams have done well in this scouting programme.We have identified some talents in Eletu boys and one or two of them have been given foreign jersey to indicate that they were notified by the scouts,”he said.

Commenting on the team’s performance, General manager of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC,Mufatu Eletu described the scouting programme an opportunity for his boys to showcase their natural talents but frowned that he was not too satisfied with the outcome of their last match against Magic Stars.

Prince Kazeem Eletu FC began their campaign 2-1 victory over Luba FC,drew 0-0 with 36 Lion and lost 3-1 to Magic Stars in their last game.

Eletu said despite the defeat,he commended the team for their performance in their last two matches and hailed the organisers for giving them the opportunity to participate in a well organised scouting football tourney.

In his own verdict, Eletu head coach, Isreal Adegolu highlighted the importance of the scouting programme to his boys and described their outings a successful one.

“It was good outing for the boys.The scouting programme has really exposed our strengths and weaknesses in the team.I think our overall performance is not too bad but we still need to go back home and work on the weaknesses of the individual players,”he concluded.
