In a bid to keep the children busy during their holiday, MADESTONE Football Academy has concluded plans to organize a football summer camp for boys and girls within the age of 4 to 16 years old.
The summer camp would commence from August 1 through 12 at the Lead British Secondary School pitch, Maja Street, Jericho, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Chairman of MADESTONE sports services , Coach Olubiyi Oluwatobiloba explained that the summer camp is an opportunity for young footballers who want to know more about the rudiment of the game. He also revealed that the summer camp would develop the skills of the young lads under the right coaches in the right environment.
“What we are planning is to organize a football summer camp for kids within Ibadan that would be on holiday during this long summer break. Our registration fee is N35,000 per child and we have informed interested schools, parents and guardians, to come and register their wards for the summer camp and I am happy with the responses we got from them. So far so good, we have received messages and calls from various interested candidates who are willing to participate in the programme,” he added.
Oluwatobilola confirmed that during the summer camp, ex international like Mutiu Adepoju aka The Headmaster and Dele Adeleye are expected to educate, talk and share their footballing career with the kids. He added that certificate of participation and medals would be awarded to every child after the summer camp.
“Of course we are giving certificate of participation to the participants in line with international standards”. Olubiyi who is also a UEFA C licensed coach from the English FA will be leading the training sessions and has promised fun, engaging and interactive training sessions throughout the summer camp.
