LSFA State League: Title holders, Arubinjaga Boss Remains Optimistic Against Ibeju-Lekki United

Chairman Arubinjaga Football Club of Ikorodu, Adebayo Adeboye has expressed his team’s readiness to confront Ibeju-Lekki United in week one of the LSFA State League, which holds on Friday at 3 pm at the Eleja Primary School, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos.

Arubinjaga emerged as champions last season and they are beginning their title defence on Friday as they welcome their opponents in Ikorodu.

Speaking ahead of Friday match,Adeboye said his team are in the league to defend the title won last season but pointed out that this season will be more tougher considering the number of clubs registered.

“We want to defend the title we won last year but we need to work harder than before.Every team has prepared for us and we are ready for them.Our match against Ibeju-Lekki will be tough but I am sure of victory comes Friday,””he said.

Adeboye however disclosed that the club has recruited young players saying that most of the players registered for this season are within the age bracket of 15 to 17years old.

“I am coming to the league with the young players.Some of them have not played the league before and they are good and exceptional players.We want to develop and market these young players through this league,”he said.
