Attention would be shifted to Campus Sports Centre, Lagos Island on Thursday as Young Strikers FC would battle Panthers football team in the final of Lagos Island Conference 1X BET Cup.
The tourney which started on Monday with eight teams would decide the team that would represent the conference tomorrow at the quarter finals playoff.
Both finalists top their various group to emerge in the final.Young Striker defeated Soccer Talents 2-1 in the last match to top the group B, while Panthers played 2-2 with Ultimate FC to emerge as group A leader.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow clash, Young Strikers coach, Waheed Kosoko admitted that the final would be another tough game for his boys but remained optimistic that his team would defeat their opponents.
“It is a battle to the finish in tomorrow’s final.I have studied our opponents and they are equally a good side.My boys have prepared for them and i have the confidence that we shall win by His grace,” he said.
Tournament Director, Waheed Akanni expressed satisfaction with the attendance since the tournament started on Lagos Island and urged the football fans to come out in large numbers in tomorrow’s final.
He disclosed that all the teams gave a good account of themselves and congratulated the finalists for the job well done.
