The Chief Medical Director of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Prof Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, received the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Lagos State, Prof. Akin Abayomi who came on a flying visit to inspect the almost completed SDG Building donated by the Federal Government through the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), Princess Adejoke Orelope – Adefulire.

The SDG building is designed to accommodate 120 beds that would solve the issue of limited bed spaces in the hospital.
Prof. Akin Abayomi, also visited the Special Services Center which houses the Endoscopy Suite, Bronchoscopy Suite, Renal Dialysis Unit and a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory; the newly renovated, expanded and commissioned Diabetes Clinic; the newly renovated, upgraded and furnished House Officers’ Quarters; the new Ambulance Bay; the ongoing renovation and extension of the Psychiatry Ward and the construction of the Resident Doctors’ Quarters.
The Commissioner expressed his satisfaction with the level of achievement in LASUTH as he salutes the LASUTH Management under the leadership of the Chief Medical Director, for work well done.
