Lagos Football Coaches Elections: Lagos FA Boss Tasks Elected Members On Funding

Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), Liammed Olawale Gafar, has congratulated newly elected members of the Lagos State Football Coaches Association (LSFCA) for their victories at the 2026 State Elections of the Lagos State Football Association, which held last Saturday at the NIS Conference Hall, Surulere, Lagos.

Addressing the elected members, Gafar said the elected officers should see their victories as a new dawn and call to serve saying that this is the time the newly elected officers should generate funds for the association so that the state body can meet its future challenges.

“I congratulate our newly elected officers who emerged as winners at the LSFCA poll. I am confident in the ability of these officers but they need to task themselves to generate money for the association.

“We know that there are many future programmes lined up for the association and they need fund to execute it. I implore the newly elected officers to do everything by generating money for the association and ensure that the state body regain its lost glory, “he said.

Gafar said the Lagos State Football Association would work closely with LSFCA and urged the elected state officers to work in unity and progress.

He also reminded them that football coaches in Lagos should be carried along and ensure that all the 23 football coaches councils in the state increase their annual dues to allow elected executive officers to run the state’s association actively.

Also speaking, Chairman Electoral Committee of Lagos state Football Coaches Association, Lantern Olojo-Kosoko expressed satisfaction with hitch free elections and tasked the newly elected officers to work together in unity and ensure that the state body attains its height.

In his welcome address, representative of Nigeria Football coaches Association,Monsur Abdullahi commended the electoral committee of LSFCA for their efforts during the electoral process.

He also applauded the Lagos football coaches for their cooperation,understanding and support given the electoral committee throughout the electioneering process and congratulated the newly elected officers for their victories at the poll.

The elected chairman of LSFCA, David Dosu expressed delight with his victory and called football coaches in Lagos to support his administration and promised that their tenure would bring massive change in the state body.

Some of the elected officers who spoke to our correspondent said they are elected to serve not to be served and promised to lift the association up.
