Lagos FA Cup: Ikorodu City, G12 Beat Opponents To Reach Final Stage

A premier side, Ikorodu City Football Club booked their place in the Lagos FA Cup final after defeating Box 2 Box FC in the semi final match which held on Sunday evening at Inspire Stadium Oshodi Lagos.

Ikorodu City came from behind to play 1-1 with Box 2 Box at the regulation time before they won 5-3 on penalty shoot out.

The match was watched by mammoth crowd as both teams gave a good account of themselves in an encounter watched by members of Lagos State Football Association led by vice chairman of the body,Dotun Coker

In the second semi final played early today.Vinod FC lost 3-4 to G12 on penalties after one goal apiece at the regulation time.

In the female category, Dreams Stars Ladies lost 2-3 to Ghetto Tigers Ladies, while FC Robo Queens humbled Unification Ladies 2-0 in the second semi final.

The finalists would now represent the state at the national federation cup scheduled for next month.

Meanwhile the Lagos FA Cup finals would hold on Sunday at the Onikan Stadium by 1pm.
