Ikeja DFA Super League: It’s Not Over Yet, Magboro Coach Tasks Players After Defeating YG Academy

Head coach of Magboro Football Club, Gani Abayomi Shobola has cautioned his players to remain focused and steadfast after defeating YG Football Academy in the ongoing week 13 of Ikeja Divisional Football Super League.

The giant killer, Magboro defeated home team, YG Football Academy 4-1 on Thursday at the Alade Sport center, Ipaja Command, Alimosho, Lagos.

With this victory, Magboro are on the verge of clinching one of the tickets for super four.Magboro began the second stanzar of the league unbeaten with three matches played so far.

Shobola in a chat with our correspondent expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance in the league and urged the players not to be carried away with the unbeaten run.

“It is not yet over because we still have a lot of matches to play to guarantee our place in the super four.Presently we are doing well but i still want to urge my players to remain focused and steadfast in their subsequent matches,”he said.

Shobola said he is aware that many clubs want to beat them and admonished his players to double their effort in their subsequent matches.

Asked what is the team’s secrets, Shobola, who is celebrating his birthday today disclosed that the secret of the team in the league is the discipline instill on the players and they are also play to coaches instructions.

“Honestly a lot of people are asking me what is our sercet weapon of winning the match, i must say we don’t have any hidden secrets but what really work for us is discpline on the part of the players and coaching crew and secondly the players play to instructions which is making us to do well in the league,”he concluded
