Gov Makinde Appoints Atanda As Oyo State Advisory Council Member

Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has announced the appointment of Chief Adewale Atanda, as member of the Oyo State Advisory Council.

A letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, indicated that the governor has also appointed eight other people into various positions.

The council, which has Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN, OFR as Chairman, was inaugurated sometimes last year by the governor.

Other members of the Council are, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, Senator Gbenga Babalola, Barrister Michael Lana, Honourable Babatunde Oduyoye, and Chief Bashir Ajibade, and Mr Kamorudeen Adedibu.

Speaking on the new appointment, the Council chairman, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde SAN stated that Chief Atanda’s appointment was a confirmation of his loyalty and commitment to people of Oyo State.

He said that Chief Atanda, who served as Senior Special Executive Assistant to former Governor, Rashid Ladoja, is a good leader, adding that his appointment is another opportunity for him to offer valuable advice and counselling to the present administration towards achieving its set goals and objectives.
