Both private and public secondary schools in Gombe State would be in a battlefield in the next five days as the state Principals Cup begins on Tuesday at the Pantanmi Stadium, Gombe.
A total of 16 schools would slug it out in the inter secondary schools football principal cup sponsored by Green White Green Sport Centre under the leadership of Honourable Ahmed Gara Gombe.
Thousand of students would witness the Tuesday opening match by 9:00am between Government Day Secondary School,Pilot and Savannah Group of School at the Pantanmi Stadium, Gombe State.
Director General of the Principal Cup, Alhaji Gara Gombe tasked the participating schools to abide by the rules governing the game saying that any school violates the rules would be punished accordingly.
“The principal cup is a form of of developmental football programme in the state and we are looking forward to the exciting matches among the participants.
“We have set up a jury committee where complains and protests would be treated without fear or favour during the game and i urge the participants to be disciplined and abide by the rules and regulations,”he said.
