Members of Gold House were excited after they were declared overall winners at the just concluded Goodvine Group of Schools Biennial Inter House Sports Competition held recently at Caleb Sports Ground, Magodo, Lagos.
At the end of the kneely contested inter house sports, sports officials announced Gold House as an overall winner with 22 gold,15 silver and 11 bronze medals, while Diamond House took second position with 14 gold, 5 silver and 11 bronze medals.
Crystal House maintained third position with 13 gold, 19 silver and 20 bronze medals, while Pearl House occupied fourth position on the table with 8 gold,18 silver and 14 bronze medals.
In the match past results released by sports officials, Diamond House emerged as champions with 90 percent followed by Gold House with 87 percent as Pearl House occupied third position with 79 percent, while Crystal House occupied fourth position with 60 percent.
Declaring the biennial Inter House Sports Competition opened, proprietor of the school, Pastor Aghulor Chuks identified sports as part of school curriculum and urged the parents and guardians to give their wards necessary support to involve in sports of their choice.
He however revealed that the school has committed to the sports development by setting up school football academy for the students who are interested in the round leather game.
Commenting on the performance of the houses, chairman of the occasion, Mr Uzah Chinedu congratulated all the participating houses for job well done and commended Gold House as an overall winner.
In her own comment, Proprietress of the school, Mrs Grace Aghulor thanked the parents, guardians and other invited guests for their support to make this year’s edition a memorable one and reiterated school commitment on sports development.
