Head Coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club of Lagos, Israel Adegolu has given the main reasons why his team lost to Team 360 Football Club in a friendly match which was held on Tuesday at the FIFA legacy pitch of National Stadium.
Teams 360 gave a good account of themselves following their 3-0 victory recorded against Prince Kazeem Eletu boys in a friendly match watched by few fans.
Despite the defeat, Adegolu disclosed that he was not worried about defeat but frowned over some of his players who played below expectations in the team.
He also pointed out that the club is rebuilding now noted that many players who featured against Team 360 FC are from team B and he was satisfied with the performance of many of them during the encounter.
“We are in transition and some players that played just concluded U-19 NLO youth League are not with us based on their unimpressive performance in the league. Many players that played against Team 360 today (Tuesday) have been drafted from our Team B and I am impressed with performance of some of them while only one or two players did not live up to expectations which I believe they would be better in their subsequent friendly matches,”he said.
Adegolu congratulated Team 360 for the job well done and commended his boys for their fighting spirit on the field of play.He stressed that much work has to be done on the team before their next friendly match.
Meanwhile the head coach of Team 360,Shola Raji expressed his satisfaction with the team’s impressive form boasting that his tactical changes he made in the second half earned his team a resounding victory over their opponents.
“It was a good friendly match.Good tactical play by the both sides. I think what really gave us the victory was the changes I made which really helped us to control the game and got the two goals in the second half, he said.
Raji did not hide his admiration he has for his opponents style of play saying that Prince Kazeem Eletu FC are a big club in Lagos and their performance against his team was a good one throughout the pulsating tie.
In his own comment, president of Team 360,Akeem Hamza praised both teams for their brilliant performance saying that he is more concerned about individual player’s performance than teamwork in a friendly match of this magnitude.
He admitted that football is a team work but also believed that football is a business too and his purpose of playing scouting football programmes or top grade A friendly matches in Lagos and outside is to market his players to the world.
Two of the players of Prince Kazeem Eletu team B, Emmanuel Oghafua and Olayiwola Toluwani who made their debut in the main team said their performances were quite impressive but not too comfortable with the outcome of the game.
While General manager of Prince Kazeem Eletu, Eletu Muftau said it was a good match for the new boys who made their debut in the main team.
He also revealed that the club is presently going into transition and work is still in progress to bring the club back to their rightful position as far as football is concerned in the state.
After playing for almost first half, Tosin Ogunyale drew the first blood to give Team 360 a lead against their opponents.
Both teams missed some scoring chances in the second half.Team 360 began to pile pressure on their opponents and their efforts were rewarded when Raphael Muiz scored two goals in 56th and 86th minutes to give Team 360 a commanding victory over their opponents in the encounter.
