While some other things, such as school fees, books, uniforms and other educational needs are taken care of under the scholarship programme by the academy.
Commenting on the football kits donated to the academy, the founder of Island Stars Football Academy, Victor Akinmoyo thanked their partners and other sports stakeholders who contributed immensely to the academy, saying that the football kits would really help the players to bring the best out of them.
“Let me use this medium to thanks our foreign partners such as Chris and Dayspring Osisiogu, Ian Fenwick and Tilgent Pay, together with the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation, Pinnacle UK, Alan Atkinson, and Worthing FC for their donation of large batch of children’s football kits to Island Stars Football Academy in Lagos.
“The players have received the kits and they were happy about it. These football kits would not only go a long way for the beneficiaries, but they will also help our academy to have enough football kits to train with, despite the huge number of players in the academy,” he concluded.
